Surveillance footage obtained by CNN appears to show music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs assaulting his ex-girlfriend Cassie in a 2016 hotel incident. This incident was part of a lawsuit Cassie filed, alleging years of physical and sexual abuse by Combs.
The video, reportedly from March 2016, shows the altercation from multiple angles.
Cassie, whose full name is Casandra Ventura and is now 37, detailed in her federal lawsuit filed in November that Combs raped and physically abused her throughout their relationship. She accused him of punching, beating, kicking, and stomping her. The lawsuit was settled a day after it was filed.
Combs, 54, has previously denied the allegations, describing them as sickening. Following the settlement, his attorney stated that the agreement did not constitute an admission of wrongdoing. Representatives for Combs did not immediately respond to requests for comment on Friday.
In the lawsuit, Cassie claimed that Combs lured her into a relationship when they began working together while she was a rising artist at his label. She alleged that the abuse spanned over a decade, with Combs controlling every aspect of her life.
Following Cassie's lawsuit, Combs has faced additional accusations in other lawsuits, including allegations of sexual and physical abuse, gang rape, and "serious illegal activity."
