Liverpool ratings: Mac Allister a poor 4/10 at Aston Villa

Liverpool and Aston Villa battled to a thrilling 3-3 draw in the Premier League on Monday night, with a dramatic late collapse at Villa Park leaving both teams sharing the spoils.

The Reds took an early lead in just the second minute when goalkeeper Emiliano Martínez's error allowed Harvey Elliott's deflected cross to find the back of the net. However, Aston Villa swiftly equalized as Ollie Watkins set up Youri Tielemans to score ten minutes later.

Liverpool regained the lead through Cody Gakpo, who capitalized on Martinez's failure to clear Joe Gomez's effort, tapping the ball into an empty net. Despite missed opportunities for both sides, the Reds entered halftime ahead, courtesy of a glaring open-goal miss by Diego Carlos and a wayward shot from Moussa Diaby.

Shortly after the break, Liverpool extended their lead as Jarell Quansah guided in Elliott's free kick. However, Villa mounted a late comeback with a quick brace from Jhon Durán, the second goal coming from a deflected control that looped over Alisson, leaving Liverpool to rue missed opportunities as the match ended in a thrilling draw.
