PGA Tour player Grayson Murray, a native of North Carolina, has passed away at the age of 30.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) - Grayson Murray, a native of North Carolina and PGA Tour player, has tragically passed away at the age of 30, as announced by PGA Tour Commissioner Jay Monahan on social media.

In his post, Monahan revealed that Murray's passing occurred on Saturday morning. He also mentioned that he had spoken with Murray’s family, who requested that the weekend's tournament continue as scheduled.


Details regarding Murray’s death have not yet been disclosed. Monahan mentioned in his post that he is currently en route to Ft. Worth, Texas, and will provide further information as soon as possible. A Raleigh, North Carolina native, Murray attended Wake Forest University, East Carolina University, and Arizona State University. He secured his first PGA victory in 2017 by winning the Barbasol Championship. In January 2024, Murray clinched his second PGA Tour win at the Sony Open in Hawaii, triumphing in a playoff.
