Winger was injured in Boston’s Game 3 loss to Florida
In Boston, Brad Marchand was absent from the Bruins' Saturday practice session at Warrior Ice Arena. His absence follows his departure from the team's Game 3 loss to the Panthers after the second period. Coach Jim Montgomery provided insight, stating that Marchand is grappling with an upper-body injury and is currently labeled as day-to-day.
Marchand's injury appeared to occur early in the first period during a collision with Florida's Sam Bennett. Montgomery addressed the incident, acknowledging that while his attention wasn't directly on the play in real time, upon review, there's a history between Marchand and Bennett. Despite acknowledging Bennett as a strong, competitive player, Montgomery hinted at underlying dynamics surrounding the collision.
